tortilla

The tortilla is thin and made of corn dough or flour. In Mexico we usually eat every meal with tortillas.In our culture we easily recognize a tortilla.However, i had notice that some people in usa do not know what a tortilla look like or taste like.I work in a retirement home and the majority of residents that live there are white.We usually have ethnic dinners at this restaurant that is inside the retirement home.When we serve mexican food i had notice that the residents do not know what is a tortilla; they frequently ask me what is a tortilla and how it looks like.When a resident ask me about the tortilla I almost started laughing of couse i did not laugh, it will be very rude.Therefore, I get very surprise to know that a lot of people do not consumed tortillas because they do not even know what are them.
