MEXICAN WEDDING CELEBRATION!

Well as every other wedding the guests the groom arrives to church. The groom waits inside the temple with his parents for the bride. Once the bride gets their she walks in with her parents . Once the bride and groom are face to face they hold hands and go to the front of the church. During the ceremony after the couple has exchange vows, the lasso a large cord, or rosary its placed around the groom's shoulders, and the bride's shoulders. A bible and the wedding rings are handed to the priest by someone special that they have chosen like a close friend or aunt/auncle . Then the lasso is put on the couple by someone that is special to both of them. Most of the time is Godparents, grandparents or best friend. The lasso is worn for the remainder of the ceremony. This tradition is performed to show the love that the couple will have together for the rest of their lives. Second the arras are 13 coins that are given to the groom by his padrinos the Godparents, or like I said someone special that they both selected to give these on the day of the wedding. The coins are a symbol of trust, and a promise by the groom to support his family. Then in between the bride and groom take a moment to pray to virgin Mary (St. Mary) to show how thankful they are, the bride leaves her flower bouquet in her altar. Next the groom takes the arras and places them into the hands of his bride. Next the bride and the groom recieve pillows on which they kneel, to recive la bendicion. Once the ceremony is over the guests tossed rice, bubbles or rose petals as a symbol of good luck and wishing much happiness to the couple as they walk by them. Then its time for the party, its usually held in a different place, all the guest get their first while the couple is cruising around taking pictures. Once the couple arrives they have a sit and food is serve and a toast is done usually the couple says couple words and so do their parents. After food is done the money dance is next, the money dance is basically a waltz with all the padrinos(Godparents) who helped with the celebration and all the other guests who want to be part of it. All the guest get a pin from where they can put from $1 bills to $50 dollar bills they eathier make a line or they just go up and put the pin in the brides dress or the grooms tuxedo. After that is done then it comes the Vivora de la Mar. Basically all the women line up in a line and the groom grabs the bride by the hands or sometimes the veil and they both raise their hands they usually stand in a chair to be alittle higher then the crowed. The music goes and they start moving around the bride and groom passing under their arms and around them then the music is over the bride throws the flower bouquet to all the girls who were part of the dance. It is said that the one that gets the flower bouquet is the next to marriage. Then the same thing is done with the guys they line up they start moving to the music kind of like a train. The groom takes the garter from the brides leg usually he does this with his mouth he does this in front the guests. Once he has it he grabs it and trows it to the gentlemen,Who ever got the garter now dances a song with the girl who got the flower bouquet. After they dance then everyone can go to the dance floor and from their the dance has begun.
